Kate Upton Facts
Kate won the Rookie Of The Year title in Sports Illustrated’s 2011 Swimsuit Issue; in 2012, she was the cover-girl.
Before moving into modelling, Kate was an avid horseback rider, and actually won five world titles for being so darn good at it.
She was scouted by modelling agencies when she was just 12, although she waited several years before starting her career.
Why We Love Kate Upton
While her appearances in Sports Illustrated’s 2011 and 2012 Swimsuit Issues certainly helped cement Kate Upton as the hot blonde supermodel of her generation, for us, it was the hypnotic 60-second YouTube vid of Kate performing hip-hop dance “the Dougie” at a sports event that forever won her a place in our heart. And with over 10 million views of that video (and counting), many of you obviously feel the same way. One word: bouncy.
In recent times, Kate has been stepping out of the swimsuits and underwear (metaphorically, at least) and into the movies, with roles in comedies The Three Stooges and Tower Heist. She’s also guest-starred on popular US televisual chuckle-fests Tosh.0 and Saturday Night Live, where she displayed an eager willingness to make herself look extremely daft. Supermodel looks combined with a sense of humour? Consider us willing to propose.
