People don't have lukewarm feelings about Chris Moyles. You either love the Radio 1 DJ for his mountain climbing, charity running, parody-song-singing ways or you think he's a fat bastard who's paid obscene amounts of money to talk bollocks every sodding day of the week.

Like that fungus that's been developing under your big toe, you've learned to tolerate him for many a year, perhaps you even cheered him on during his attempt at recording the longest radio show ever, but secretly, some small part of your subconscious has been hoping he'll one day he'll fade into obscurity like Pat Sharp or Richard Blackwood. Well, friends, that day has finally come.

Yep, it's official, Moylesy has hung up his radio mic and quit the Radio 1 breakfast show, ducking out of his contract early and putting poor, sorry Comedy Dave and Carpark Catchphrase presenter Roy Walker out of a job.

So, how does this affect you, Mr. radio-appreciating man? Will you be so distraught that you have to wipe your dribbling snot up with your toast? Or will Moyles' airwave abandonment bring about waves of ecstasy that you've only ever experienced at a warehouse party? Let us know…

Either way, the big man is being replaced by the younger, hipper, more fashionable Nick Grimshaw come September so haters won't have long to wait and fans can start setting their alarms for 6.30am to savour every last second of Moyles's gravelly Leeds accent...
