It's 5:30 on a Friday afternoon and you can find the FHM team in their usual place: Drinking and playing Mario Kart. Oh yes, it is everything you could have ever imagined.
What are we drinking? Well, whilst writing a great new feature on something that may or may not be booze related, we came across Lovibonds Sour Grapes and it's bloody lovely!
It's one of the first sour beers to be packaged in Britain and, despite the word "sour" making us a little apprehensive at first, we were pleasantly surprised. It's so good it even won the 2012 World Beer Cup Gold in the Wood Aged and Sour Beer Category. There's a World Beer Cup? Take us there immediately!
Lovibonds was started by Jeff Rosenmeier in 2005 in Henley-on-Thames. Jeff hails from Wisconsin and got bitten by the brewing bug in the early 90s as he and his friends discovered the up and coming craft beer movement in the US. Jeff's IT career took him to England in 1996 and he continued to hone his home brewing skills every spare moment he could. A move into management consultancy with the endless commutes and death march projects finally convinced Jeff that he should be chasing his passion instead of his pension.
