A barnstorming year for the 31-year-old Californian. Our global winner (she polled the most number of votes from all our worldwide editions put together) shot up the list, sexily leapfrogging all the other models in the process. The keen surfer was discovered by legendary snapper Mario Testino on a beach when she was 16 and within six months was on the cover of Italian Vogue. At the latest Victoria's Secret show, Miller wore the campaign's crowning design: the 'Fantasy Bra', consisting of 2,300 diamonds worth a cool £3m. Proof, as if it were needed, that she's a gem.
