She was born in Hammersmith, west London, to actor Keith Allen and film producer Alison Owen. Her younger brother, Alfie, is an actor, and her mum once dated Harry Enfield. It was through MySpace that she attracted her fans, releasing songs online, before her debut album, Alright, Still, was released in 2006. It included the number one single, Smile.
