Why we love Alex Breckenridge
Voice actors aren’t usually known for their dazzling looks. Despite their huge popularity and salaries, we can smugly assure you that: most are destined to only ever be famous orally. Fated, if you will, to be fêted non-facially. Just google the cast of The Simpsons: the hugely talented Dan Castellaneta (Homer, Krusty) would be first to be wrongly lynched in any neighbourhood paedophile hunt, and Nancy ‘Bart’ Cartwright has more than a little of the ‘shaved Ewok’ about her.
Alex Breckenridge, thank goodness, is not one of these people. Making much of the preceding paragraph irrelevant and pointlessly bitchy. And you hold the proof of her sun-kissed visual qualities in your hands right now. But it’s her voice you’ll know best – from her numerous roles in world-dominating ‘smartoon’ Family Guy, playing everyone from Sarah Jessica Parker to a, er, rape victim. But we’ll soon be seeing more of her in film roles and, thankfully, within the world of FHM...
Recently, Alex Breckenridge has been getting her face out in criminally underrated series, American Horror Story as ‘Young Moira’ a red headed maid who also happens to be a ghost. Thankfully, the makers saw the value in putting Alex Breckenridge in a maids outfit, and there isn’t a white sheet in sight.
