Why we love Amanda Bynes
Amanda started honing her comedic acting chops early in life: at the age of seven, she attended a comedy summer-camp (America has waaay better stuff than us) where she was schooled in the art of gag-cracking by none other than stand-up legend Richard Pryor.
By her mid-teens she had her own sketch show on Nickelodeon – called, suitably enough, The Amanda Show – and quickly graduated to appearing in movies such as She’s The Man and Hairspray. Sadly for us, Bynes now says she’s retired from acting, and is focusing instead on becoming a fashion designer. So you won’t be able to gaze at her onscreen any more, but you will be able to wear one of her dresses. Should you so wish.
