Blake’s first major role was in 2005 movie The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants, one of the chickiest chick-flicks ever made.
She found mega-fame from her starring role in controversial hit TV show Gossip Girl, a show decried by US parents groups as “every parent's nightmare", "mind-blowingly inappropriate" and "a nasty piece of work".
She’s married to her Green Lantern co-star, Green Lantern. Sorry – Ryan Reynolds.
Most of us first got to know blonder-than-thou Blake through her role as the excellently named Serena van der Woodsen – a character so posh, she cried blood diamonds – in Gossip Girl/em>>, one of the all-time-great Sunday-hangover watches. She went on to prove that she could play more than just posh’n’privileged with roles in The Private Lives Of Pippa Lee (in which she played a drop-out druggy) and The Town (in which she played a boozy harlot whose hair needed a good shampooing).
