Your accent is very obvious. You’re a northern woman!
I was born in Oporto, and lived there until I was ten years old. After that, my parents moved to Santa Maria da Feira, where we still have our home. But I am living in Coimbra since last year, because I am studying psychology here in the university.
What’s the student’s life like here in Coimbra: do you do more partying or more studying?
In the first year, it was just partying… I didn’t even go to theory classes! When we weren’t having exams, I would go to the docks, to the cinema and I went out to pubs and clubs a lot…
Did you often go to the classes without having slept at all?
During the graduation week, I did it quite often. I even fell asleep in the classes: there’s lots of people in the room, and it’s very easy to fall asleep without being noticed.
Did the finalists play pranks on you when you were a fresher?
They made me kneel in front of a finalist, and declare my love to him. When it was over, I ran away.
Are you popular in the university?
Maybe. In my Faculty the majority of the students are girls – I’m in a class with 150 students, only 10 of which are guys!
So there’s a lot of female jealousy.
I admit I have an arrogant pose and that’s the idea that those who don’t know me have of me. Especially now… In the University I’m known as Miss FHM.
What will you do if you see a teacher leafing through this June edition?
I’ll ask him if he liked it! No, it depends on the teacher, because some of them are known to take advantage and he may think I’m easy. There was one who saw the magazine with the ten finalists and laughed.
Enough about the university. What made you apply to the casting?
I bought the September edition, which featured Helena Coelho on the cover page, and because I really, really like her, I leafed through the magazine, saw the advert, and decided to apply.
Thank God for that! And did you apply because you intended to work in TV or in fashion?
I want to do small weekend jobs to make some money, but I don’t intend to follow a career in that area.
Don’t you ever think about being an actress?
The thought has crossed my mind. Even yesterday I went to a casting for the TV series Morangos com Açúcar. I applied to an advert placed by TVI and was shortlisted to do some tests in Lisbon.
