Bucking that trend is Katie Cassidy, whose dad was ’70s crooner and actor David Cassidy (ask your mum: he was in The Partridge Family). Rather than being shoved in the limelight when she was still wearing a romper suit and becoming another child star screw-up, her parents insisted she finish school.
And such iron-willed parental guidance has paid off. She’s probably best known as the star of BBC3’s slasher-loose-on-an-island series Harper’s Island, but by then she was already an old hand in the horror genre – having starred in 2006’s When A Stranger Calls and Black Christmas. There's no denying that she's hot property.
