Mariah Carey is not your average pop star. She’s got a glass-shattering vocal range, for starters, stretching seven octaves high into the “whistle register”. That’s right, she could summon your dog with a squeak. What’s more, Mariah is the only female artist who’s had seven albums go triple platinum in the US and was the first artist whose first five singles reached number 1. In other words, eat shit and die, Kylie.
Her undoubtedly impressive voice aside, there is one part of the Carey package that always pleases the eye. Namely, her chest. There’s something so imposing, so appealing about that whole area that although you’d never buy her album, you’d be happy with her on dancing in a bikini on TV. A happy combination, we’re thinking.
