Why we love Minka Kelly
Minka Kelly kicked off her career as star of Friday Night Lights where she stole our hearts as Lyla Garrity, but since then she’s moved onto much more serious things like being voted the sexiest woman ON THE PLANET. She’s basically a megababe, but that’s not all there is to her. She’s had a pretty epic childhood. Her Rock Star Dad ditched her mum when she was a little sprog and left her exotic dancing mum to pay the bills. They were pretty skint and ate a lot of super noodles with egg in.
Battling her way through high school as a bit of a tough kid and handling all the inevitable jealousy, Minka Kelly landed a job in a surgeon’s clinic at 19. Her Playmate mentor wanted to turn her into Playmate of the year and told her to work there to pay for her implants.
But because Minka Kelly is a badass, she was all like ‘Heeeeyll no’ and studied hard enough to train as a surgeon’s assistant. Finally she auditioned for Friday Night Lights and the rest is history. So frankly, she’s a bit of a legend.
Minka Kelly’s been on Broadway, and she got terrorised by Leighton Meester in The Roomate, and she travelled round with the army to meet the troops, because she’s a good, well-meaning woman, though you do kind of have to question the point of showing a really attractive woman to a load of soldiers who are thousands of miles away from their loved ones. But that’s not Minka Kelly’s fault, so back of guy, okay?
