Why we love Rae Dos Remedios
It's strange that a lady with such an exotic name should have made her name in London rather than – say – Rio de Janeiro, but that's exactly what happened. Rae got into the modelling game fairly late at the venerable age of 20 after appearing in the Miss London pageant, where she got through to the finals.
But she's making up for lost time by being awesome all over the place. She's not just a model – although it's not like being “just” a model is easy, anyway – but she's doing a degree in journalism, too. But wait, there's more! She also writes regular feature articles for T!, a magazine aimed mainly at teenage girls, and Fashify, a fashion website. All round, we're extremely impressed. We can just about scrape out the odd article (if we're pushed), we look rubbish on camera, and aren't involved in higher learning AT ALL.
What else can we say about the beautiful Ms Dos Remedios? Well, thanks to an interview she did with Maxim a while back, quite a lot. She loves the beach and sunshine (especially in Bora Bora, her favourite holiday destination) and sushi, but hates frogs and flip-flops. Hey, now. Flip-flops we can understand – they mess up that bit inbetween your toes - but frogs are alright. It's toads you want to hate, Rae. Those things are gross.
Other things she hates are men wearing Ugg Boots (fair) and skinny jeans, which is good, because we can't get the damned things on anyway.
