Sweden is famous for four things, mountains, keeping the Nazi SS well stocked during WWII, leggy blonde women and Volvo’s. It’s these leggy blondes that we’re interested in, and the undisputed queen is Victoria Silvestedt. Ranked fourth in the Super-Giant Slalom, Silvestedt left skiing early on to pursue a career in modeling. Silvestedt narrowly missed out on the crown in the Miss Sweden pageant to a slightly leggier blonde, she still bought her A-game to the Miss World contest where she made it to the final eight.
After that she started doing high-end campaigns for the likes of Chanel, Dior, Givenchy, Valentino and Armani. When she was eventually approached by professional letch, Hugh Hefner, to appear in Playboy, she did. She’s not just a model though, Silvestedt can speak Swedish, French, English, and is learning Italian, as she is now making a lot of films there. She will also be appearing in Carry On London along side Lenny Henry and Shane Richie... We smell Oscars!
