We counted and recounted. We checked fansites to see if a guerrilla campaign was distorting polling. And yet no: despite 18 months of minimal movie output (including the tortuous Captivity), this 25-year-old is genuinely more popular than ever. Maybe it’s memories of her pink panties in Old School. Or her ‘adult’ scenes in The Girl Next Door. Or, hell, that 24 episode where Kim Bauer’s chased by a cougar in a low-cut T-shirt (her, not the cougar). But Cuthbert’s happy: “The truth is, I’m naturally attracted to playing young, messed up girls.” A happy coincidence, indeed.
