Elisabetta Canalis is famous for three things. One, she's mind-blowingly gorgeous. Two, she presents a load of Italian TV, where being mind-blowingly gorgeous is apparently a required trait if you're a lady. And three, she used to go out with George Clooney. Even though the Cloonster is now dating the almost equally beautiful Stacey Kiebler, Elisabetta's determined to make a name for herself, so she's speaking out against cruelty to animals with those nice chaps at PETA.

Of course, on account of that aforementioned mind-blowing gorgeousness, she's not just using her words – she's posing for arty black and white photos with her clothes off too, as is the fashion these days.

Elisabetta Canalis for PETA
We'd rather you went naked, too. From a purely ethical standpoint you understand

Great! That we can get behind. Whilst we're not entirely in agreement with PETA's previous Playmates-In-A-Bath stunt to try to get us to go vegan (Playmates are great, but steak is also great and we're fully able to reconcile both of those facts in our head at once), we can certainly join up in the campaign against wearing fur.

We barely wear any fur. In fact, we don't think we've ever worn fur, unless you count that one time a cat fell asleep on our shoulders and we decided it might be fun to use it as a scarf (PROTIP: Don't do this, real scarves are better and they have significantly fewer claws) so it's really not a huge drag for us to give it up. And hey, no-one decent wants animals to be starved, electrocuted, drowned and beaten just for the sake of a nice coat. That's something we can all agree on.
