Why she's a MAM: Aside from the sheer joy of watching an endless procession of tubby estate agents scamper, trip, fall, and then splash, face-first, into some manky-looking water, the main reason to watch BBC1's majestically daft Total Wipeout is the lovely Amanda Byram.

From anyone else, Amanda's mocking interviews with hopeful contestants and blatant amusement at their painful-looking downfalls would seem cruel and mean-spirited – but Byram totally gets away with it, because A) she's genuinely funny, B) she's full of twinkle-eyed Irish charm, and C) she's as fit as a billionaire's racehorse.

With the latest series of Total Wipeout having started this week on BBC1, it's time for us all to get as much Amanda in as we can – sadly, this series will be the show's last. 

Whose watery demise is Amanda supposed to uncontrollably chuckle at then, eh? She'll probably be reduced to visiting the local swimming baths and shoving unsuspecting housewives into the deep end.

Her fanbase: As with pretty much every other medium-to-strongly attractive woman currently on TV, Amanda has a large and vocal male fanbase. Take, for example, @NotAtAllFamous, who fired off the following thoughtful tweet during this week's edition of Total Wipeout.
