Hayley Atwell is all that and more. Teaming up alongside Chris Evans in Captain America – out today in the UK - she’s ready to take the fight to those darned Nazis and looking good doing it. Looking damn good.

DAMN good

Do you have a thing for women in uniform? We don’t, especially – mainly because most of the women in uniform we come into contact with tend to be wearing paper hats and Burger King shirts coupled with a vacant expression and an inability to give correct change.

If you do have a thing for women in uniform, though, then Hayley Atwell is certainly your cup of tea. In fact she’s your entire pot of tea, probably with a full stand of cakes, scones, clotted cream, fine preserves, the works.

Maybe some cucumber sandwiches, too

Hayley plays Special Agent Peggy Carter, a machine-gun wielding Nazi-killer and Captain America’s “love interest", according to the Wiki page, clad in a variety of vintage uniforms which should get your dander up if, you know, that's your thing. We’ll have to admit that even though it’s not especially our thing, we think Hayley’s raised our dander. Although being sure would involve knowing precisely what a dander is.

Is it like an eyebrow or something?

Hayley’s been training for six days a week to get into butt-kicking shape, which certainly shows in her shots from the film and the premiere last week. If you’re going to join the scrum of cinemagoers tonight and watch The Cap bring serum-laced justice to those evil fascist types, keep an eye out for Hayley and her well-filled fatigues.
