As insensitive as it is of us, this is great news. Scarlett Johansson – FHM’s three-time top ten sexiest woman – is ending her marriage. And we really hope that means a return to the good ol’ days when she was flaunting cleavage all over the shop.
To explain the impact of this, after her run in the top 10 Scarlett then disappeared from the higher echelons of our 100 Sexiest immediately after getting married and becoming all sensible. And seeing as she’s only 26, there’s still plenty of time for her to revert.
The guy left kicking himself is Ryan Reynolds, who probably feels a bit like a 5-year-old kid suddenly realising he’s opened all of his Christmas presents and not got the one big thing he wanted. Which is probably a frickin’ iPad these days. Whatever happened to wanting a massive box of Meccano or a bike when you were little?
Getting a bike used to be a bittersweet moment though. You’d be more excited than…well actually you’d be as excited as a kid at Christmas – but it would be freezing cold and icy outside and you couldn’t go and use your bike yet. You could just sit on it in your front room, and keep tipping over because it was too big for you but your parents said you’d ‘grow in to it’.
Never mind though, those days are gone. As are the days of Scarlett being tied in holy matrimony. That’s enough to brighten up your Christmas on its own.
