England cricket captain Andrew Strauss reflects on the initial test clash with Ashes enemies, the Aussies. While Australian Mark Webber was winning his first Grand Prix in Germany, Collingwood was holding steadfast for England's draw in Wales.

Paul Collingwood MBE faced the frustrated Aussie attack for 343 minutes, 245 balls and got away with 74 runs. The spirit of Dunkirk may have secured an organised retreat, but if England is to repeat 2005's winning Ashes effort, Strauss will need more than positive words to better his team. Maybe more Onions in his diet would have done the trick!
