Roger Federer didn't win the US Open. It's disappointing because the public love the only hero ever to come out of Switzerland. Why is he a hero?
1) Because he can wear clashing neon coloured apparel and still maintain his masculinity.
2) He did the above in his semi-final against Novak Djonkovic, the flabbergasted Serbian, who could only fall to his knees and sob heartily for a good 20 minutes, in response.
He didn't, in fact, do this, but I bet he was dying inside as the crowd erupted in rapturous applause for his opponent. Watch this over and over again, it just gets sweeter.
