Further Star Wars: Battlefront gameplay was released today at EA’s Gamescom briefing, to cries of happiness from fans of all ages and the familiar whine of X-wing engines...
However before we get too excited, let’s not forget that this game will be released on the 17th November, coming out exactly one month and one day before The Force Awakens hits cinemas. So ,whether you’re a die-hard fan, a casual fan or, God forbid, somebody who likes the prequels - we at FHM are here to tell you how this epic addition to the Star Wars canon will prepare you for the new movie...
Word on the street (and by street, we mean Gamescom) is that a lot of the action in Battlefront will take place on a planet called Sullust. Aside from sounding a bit like a B-grade comic villain, this setting is a planet never before seen in the films. Considering the new trailer for The Force Awakens takes place on another new planet called Jakku, it’s not hard to think we might be seeing an early glimpse of another new planet for the big screen.
In a wise move by the developers, Battlefront looks to take place entirely in the era of the older films meaning no annoying whiny Anakin, midi-chlorians or Jar Jar Binks. Battlefront seems like the best way to ease yourself into the era of the older films and may even branch into the new ones during gameplay.
Can’t wait to see Jedi’s on the big screen? Play them.
X-Wings? Fly them.
Millennium Falcon? Pilot it.
Yeah, that’s right. You can pilot the Millennium Falcon. Now do us a favour, sit down for five minutes and let the dizziness pass. Still shaky? Make it ten.
