I think men and women alike can agree that there's nothing more nerve-wracking than getting a haircut. Personally, I only get my mane trimmed every 6-months or so because I'm so nervous that the hairdresser is going to leave me looking like a complete dolt. Granted, I'm a bit more cautious than most folks, considering "a friend" of mine decided to chop off 10-inches of my hair when I was 5 years old, but I digress. Grooming is still stressful to this day and it's important to be armed with the best strategy possible when walking in, you know? A bad haircut is almost cute when you're 5, not so much when you're 30.
It seems Reddit user, suchit_sanghvi, shared in my sentiment when posing this very useful, possibly life-saving question —
"Respected Barbers of Reddit, how can we clearly explain the hairstyle we want , so that our lives aren't ruined?"
Show 'Em Everything You've Got
Hair Type = Major Key
Most People Are One-Trick Ponies
That's One Way To Go
Ultimately, to summarize —
Bring in a picture. I REPEAT: BRING IN A PICTURE.
Make sure the person in the picture has a similar hair type as you.
Understand that you aren't actually the person in the photo and thusly, there WILL be some deviation based on face/head shape.
