When it comes to relationships, it's incredibly easy to get tunnel vision — especially in the bad ones. You're so caught up in the routine and habit of toxicity that all of those glaringly obvious red flags fall by the wayside. Only after the relationship ends, because believe me, it will end, do you begin to look back and realize just how clear it was that you two weren't right for one another. It's no use beating yourself up over it, it truly does happen to the best of us. That whole, "love is blind" shtick is pretty accurate. It seems Reddit user, anew39 shares in my sentiment after having posed the following question —
"What's a common sign that a marriage/relationship is heading for a breakup, which many people often neglect or don't know?"
Personally, I'm not so certain if I believe that people "don't know" these signs, so much as they actively ignore or deny them. Remember, don't get too down on yourself! Use these answers as a means of evaluating your relationship truthfully. If something looks familiar, don't be afraid to acknowledge that! Even if you're in an unhappy marriage, nothing is binding. There is no rule that you have to stay, or at the very least, continue to neglect the issues. Progress is possible, folks.
