Academy Award-winning actress Brie Larson — who's set to star in the 2019 Marvel Cinematic Universe film, Captain Marvel — was, for the first time, seen walking around on set in her costume. And, because we find things like this quite interesting (see: Alicia Vikander's first pics as Lara Croft), we figured you might share some common interest, too!
The Captain Marvel movie, which is set to release on March 8, 2019, may still be over a year away from hitting theaters, but, it's just the latest female superheroes flick that we're looking forward to the most. Check out the Brie Larson pics below.

In addition to the first pics of Brie dressed in her Captain Marvel get up, the Instagram account known as "Captain Marvel News" also posted pics of the actress going through some intense training for her role. No, we're not talking about lifting houses over her head of, you know, changing the rotational direction of the earth, but, instead, learning how to fly a jet! The pics can be seen below.
With Marvel's latest superhero film set to hit theaters here on February 16th, Black Panther, one might imagine the timing of the Captain Marvel pics being released aren't much of a coincidence. You've got to give Marvel credit for double-dipping the whole promotional side of each film here.
As for those unfamiliar with the Captain Marvel character, here's how the official marvel website describes her and her superpowers. Needeless to say, she's a badass who shouldn't be messed with.
Real Name: Carol Danvers
Powers: Ms. Marvel's current powers include flight, enhanced strength, durability and the ability to shoot concussive energy bursts from her hands.
Abilities: Ms. Marvel is a skilled pilot & hand to hand combatant
Group Affiliations: Avengers; formerly Queen's Vengeance, Starjammers
Got all that? Hope so, because we're getting pretty excited about the Captain Marvel movie — even if we do have to wait until 2019 till its release. It's too bad Brie Larson can't use her female superheroes powers to make the darn thing hit theaters sooner, am I right?!?
