Virgin has long been a brand known to push the envelope when it comes to doing things—look no further than the company's founder, Sir Richard Branson, for its inspiration behind that theory. But the brand went really out there with its latest sneaker release, because these are certifiably wild.
Named the "First Class Shoe," the sneaker is supposed to resemble, not so shockingly, the experience one would get while sitting first-class on an airplane—and it brings all the amenities, too!
The shoe, which is part of a partnership with Eleven and SearchnDesign, includes an airplane seatbelt as the upper straps around the ankle, a TV screen in the tongue and a Wi-Fi hotspot, making it everything one needs to enjoy a night alone, if you ask me.
As one might expect with all those boujis features, the "First Class Shoe" doesn't come cheap, as there's only one pair produced, meaning they're literally one-of-a-kind. And with the kicks up for auction on Ebay, the current bid is over $98,000 with a little over two days left—so hope you've been saving up.
While the price tag is steep, all proceeds from the auction benefit the nonprofit organization Soles 4 Souls, which collects and distributes shoes to those in need.
Something tells me the person who buys them can compare the "First Class Shoes" to what it's like to regularly fly first-class. Wish we were that lucky.
