The highly anticipated encore fight between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz this past weekend at UFC 202 definitely didn't disappoint, as the two went mano a mano to give everyone who watched exactly what they wanted to see—two of the best fighters in the world bloodied and worn out from giving it all they had.

And after McGregor avenged his loss to Diaz from March, the Irishman scored a record $3 million payout that no one in the UFC has ever sniffed before, per MMAJunkie.

More than $6 million in disclosed pay was dished out at Saturday’s UFC 202 event, and the headliners took the lion’s share of it.

On Saturday MMAjunkie reported the contracted disclosed paydays for the pay-per-view event’s main-card fighters, including a record $3 million for Conor McGregor and $2 million for fellow headliner Nate Diaz.

According to the Nevada State Athletic Commission, payouts for the entire card totaled $6,106,000 – with McGregor and Diaz getting 82 percent of it.

Unfortunately for McGregor, the $3 million didn't include a win bonus—nor does it include deductions for things like insurance, taxes, etc.—but the base pay is an absurd $1 million more than his opponent for the same fight without that win bonus, so that's pretty incredible.

It's also important to note that these figures don't include any cut from potential pay-per-view sales—which top talent typically gets rewarded for—so Conor McGregor's UFC 202 victory may be the payout that keeps on giving.
