Well, it's officially true—geeks have inherited the Earth. And, if you need even more proof of this, look no further than director Julian Higgins and writer Paul Bianchi putting together one of the best move mashups we've ever seen.
Combining Deadpool with Beauty And The Beast, this short's description should tell it all, with it being described this way: “Who knew the ‘Merc With A Mouth’ could sing? Check out this fan-made musical mashup… featuring Wade’s own NSFW, mature-audiences version of the classic song ‘Gaston’ from the original musical.”
With all due respect to songwriters Howard Ashman and Alan Menken, this take is awesome!
Who’s Who On Deadpool Musical—Beauty And The Beast “Gaston”
Director And Editor: Julian Higgins. Producer and Director of the TV series Guidance, director of numerous short films over the past several years. If he’s looking at a means of really getting Hollywood’s attention, this could be his ticket. It’s been viewed nearly 4 million times.
Writer/Producer/Production Designer: Paul Bianchi. Served as production designer on a number of shorts and films, including The Dalhia Knights, I Really Hate My Ex, Predator Vs Colonial Marines and Quentin Tarantino’s Suicide Squad.
Stunt Coordinator/Fight Choreographer: Brian Danner. Worked on a variety of shorts handling stunts, including Once Upon A Time and Space, Quentin Tarantino’s Suicide Squad and Origins. He also plays Wolverine at the end of this Deadpool effort.
Deadpool: Michael Parker. He’s an unknown quantity at this point, as he doesn’t have any credits available. If he is the guy doing an imitation of Ryan Reynolds’ voice, then job well done, sir!
Black Widow: Monette Moio. As an actress she appeared on iCarly, Tosh.0, and Tales Of Halloween. She also worked stunts on 24 and 3 Days To Kill.
Rogue: Jennifer Wenger. Moving to L.A. from Tennessee, her first gig was playing Wonder Woman on the Hollywood Blvd. Walk of Fame, which eventually led to director Morgan Spurlock casting her in Confessions Of A Superhero. Roles followed on such TV series as My Name Is Earl, Mad TV and Mind Of Mencia.
Psylocke: Christina Benthall. She appeared in the New Values TV series, and a number of shorts, including Stage Five, Thick Water and A Lesson To Me.
Spider-Man: Christopher Troy. He’s mostly worked in stunts, including on such television series as Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Shameless, Gamer’s Guide To Pretty Much Everything, Hawaii Five-0, and Grace And Frankie.
