What is it about machines they they’re so hellbent on removing humanity from the face of the Earth? It really has been a big problem, which is going to get worse when we’ve got to deal with two of them not only teaming up, but — thanks to the use of the Infinity Stones — becoming a new entity in the process in order to accomplish the job.
In the forthcoming game Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite, the former’s Ultron (perhaps you remember him from the second Avengers flick) and the latter’s Sigma (he’s the arch-enemy of Mega-Man) decide to create an alliance between them, and then take things one step further by merging into an all-new entity calling itself Ultron Sigma. As a result, the heroes from both of their universes must work together to stop this common threat.
The game will provide the opportunity for single player mode as well as a great deal of content for multi-players. Plus, based on the trailer, the roster of characters will be increasing for this game from previous incarnations. On the Capcom side of things, characters include Strider (from his self-named game), Chun-Li (Streetfighter), Chris Redfield (Resident Evil), and, of course, Mega Man. And then from Marvel we’ll get Thor (which makes sense considering that Ultron Sigma takes over Asgard), Captain America, Hawkeye, Rocket Raccoon (who will likely have a pretty heavy presence), Captain Marvel (who we’ll be meeting a in the form of Brie Larson in next year’s Avengers: Infinity War) and the Hulk.
