There are PLENTY of people who love going to the gym! No judgement over here! If you feel like that's where you're most comfortable and yield the best physical results then why bother looking to switch things up?
The main reason I'm suggesting gym-alternative exercises is for people looking to cut costs. Gym memberships can be expensive. Even moderately priced ones still count as yet another extraneous monthly payment you have to worry about!
Technically speaking, exercise doesn't have to cost you a dime. Using the outdoors and elements to your advantage will offer the same variety of sweat-inducing options without breaking the bank or having to deal with other pesky gym goers who forget to put on deodorant, constantly stare at your ass (male or female), blast EDM music, and take selfies. Oh wait, and forget to wear socks with their sneakers which is literally THE GROSSEST thing you can do working out or otherwise. People of Fitness America-WEAR SOCKS! Please and thank you!
