If there's one actress on the planet who men (and even some women) just can't get enough of, it's Emma Watson, who epitomizes class, talent, sexiness and, well, OK, she's about as near-perfect as a person can get.

The 27-year-old Emma, who recently replaced Jennifer Lawrence as the highest-paid actress in the world this year, might be best-known for her role as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films, as well as an influencing voice for human rights, but there's still plenty of other things that might surprise you about Emma Watson.

In addition to all of her film accolades, here are some other facts that you may not have known about our favorite actress, Emma Watson.

  1. While everyone associates Emma with a British accent—which, you know, makes sense because she has one—Watson was actually born in Paris, living there until she was five years old.

  2. At some point, Emma admitted that, between the ages of 10-12, she was crushing hard on her Harry Potter co-star, Tom Felton. Nothing ever came to fruition—much to the dismay of Felton, we're sure—because, you know, they were just kids at the time.

  3. Many people know that Emma attended Brown University in Providence, R.I.—and, if you didn't, know you do—but did you know she also played club field hockey while there? After attending the university for 18 months, she studied as a "traveling student" at Worcester College, Oxford, and eventually graduated with a degree in English Literature.

  4. Oh, and in case you're wondering why Emma Watson always seems so cool, calm and collected, maybe it's because she became certified to teach yoga and meditation back in 2013, meaning she has all the hidden zen needed to deal with all the pressures of showbiz.

  5. With all her successes as an actress, the one accomplishment Emma Watson might be most proud of is her ranking on TIME magazine's "Most Influential People in the World" list in 2017, where she placed No. 26 thanks to all her human and women's rights influence.
