Look, I know people give McDonald's a lot of crap about all of their food, but the one that leaves most people the most suspicious are the company's McNuggets, which have come under attack for years due to their lack of real meat and general disgustingness.
Regardless of your opinion on these little pieces of chicken, you've probably noticed how they always come in distinct shapes. And because you're wondering, yes, there's a reason for that, with McDonald's landing on four shapes for us to dip and enjoy, per LADbible
The four shapes are: the bell, the ball, the boot and the bow tie, with the latter also being referred to as 'the bone'.
Look at you, McDonald's, always looking out for the kids to have fun. Here's a pic of the different shapes.
Naturally, the company has been asked this question before on its Q&A page, with this being their reply.
The 4 shapes we make Chicken McNuggets in was the perfect equilibrium of dipability and fun. 3 would've been too few. 5 would've been, like, wacky. For now, our McNugget shapes are: the “ball,” the “boot,” the “bow-tie” and the “bell.” We also make them similar in size to ensure consistent cooking times for food safety.
So now that you know they're shaped for fun, does it make them any easier to eat? I doubt it, but, dammit, they sure can be addicting, can't they?
