Even after his mega-fight ended and, presumably, his boxing career did, too, Floyd Mayweather continues to be a massive celebrity that the Internet keeps talking about. Of course, that's what happens when a guy rakes in an estimated $250 million following his boxing match with Conor McGregor in August, which pushed Floyd's career record to an even 50-0.
Following his 10-round fight with McGregor, naturally, some of Mayweather's most diehard fans figured the best way to honor the legendary fighter would be by getting some ink on them to commemorate his outstanding boxing career. And, whether submitted to Floyd or just found while perusing the Internet, check out these pretty sick, and very detailed, tattoos that a couple people got, which Mayweather posted to his Instagram account recently.
Now, I'm not one to sit here and admire someone's tattoos too frequently, but, damn, these Floyd Mayweather ones are pretty F'in amazing, in my person opinion. Just look at how the shading captures his look as if he were actually there staring at you. Some people are just super talented, aren't they?
This isn't the first, nor last, time we'll see fans do something a little crazy like this when it comes to showing love for his or her favorite athlete, with people going to extreme measures to show their love for a celebrity. That said, it's hard to find a more polarizing athlete on the planet right now than Floyd Mayweather — yep, even more so than LeBron James and Cristiano Ronaldo — so nothing that his loyal fanbase does should surprise any of us anymore.
Speaking of LeBron, he even took a moment to congratulate Mayweather on the victory over McGregor, sending praise for an outstanding career via Twitter.
Congrats @FloydMayweather!!! 50-0 is unprecedented!!!! Was a treat and honor to witness history.— LeBron James (@KingJames) August 27, 2017
What do you guys think of these? Pretty awesome, or something you'd never be caught dead doing?
