Ford isn't exactly a car manufacturer synonymous with luxury. That's not to say that Ford doesn't produce reliable cars, we're just speaking to the point that these cars generally don't come with hefty price tags. That's why when the Ford F-series debuted, we nearly spit out our morning coffee.
During a segment of Fox News' Fox & Friends Ford unveiled their 2018 pick up truck leaving viewers both impressed and confused all at once.
"The luxed-up truck starts at $82,130 for an F-250 4x4, while a fully loaded F-450 4x4 Limited dually rings up at $95,750. Add title, taxes and fees and you’re pretty much looking at a six-figure truck, and Ford’s priciest product next to the $450,000 GT supercar."
Fine, so it doesn't hit the $100,000 mark, but that's still pretty freakin' astronomical for a Ford! You'd think they'd celebrate their One Hundred Years Of Trucks by manufacturing a vehicle the average consumer — you know, the ones who have kept them in business all these years — could afford.
Then again, with the automobile industry being ever-changing, perhaps Ford felt it necessary to Keep Up With The Joneses by going with a more high-end ride to commemorate such a milestone. In either event, the pickup truck is nothing if not impressive and somewhat warrants a price so steep. Fox News continued:
"All of the Super Duty Limiteds come loaded with a long list of standard features that includes a 360-degree camera system, adaptive cruise control, panoramic moon roof, unique two-tone Camelback leather upholstery, a microfiber suede headliner and a 6.7-liter V8 diesel engine."
If you happen to have a random 90+ thousand hidden somewhere around the house and you're in the market for a new pickup, have at it! This bad boy is a limited edition and it's likely that it won't be on the market for too long. Just look at that interior...
It definitely lives up the utility meeting luxury standard and if you happen to be a parent or hell, own an entire Baseball team, this is the ride for you!
