Cue the Game of Thrones intro music and grab your map of The Seven Kingdoms because it's almost time to do the damn thing!! With only 3 more Sundays left before new episodes of GoT hit our TV screens, I thought it would best to share one of the more shocking revelations made about season 7.
Apparently, there's going to be a villain even wretched than Ramsay Bolton and Joffrey Baratheon—combined gracing Westeros this Summer. While, I have zero doubts that the showrunners are capable of such a monstrosity (cough, cough, remember the Red Wedding), I just don't even want to picture it. I'm still not fully-over Theon's manhood removal scene or that time Joffrey treated that poor prostitute like an animal out for slaughter.
This new villain won't be a completely new role, but rather Euron Greyjoy, Theon's uncle who pushed his own brother, Balon, off a bridge to gain power of The Iron Islands. According to The Independent as per an interview with Empire Magazine—"Pilou Asbæk has suggested that former characters Joffrey Baratheon and Ramsay Bolton will pale in comparison to the villainy on display by his character Euron Greyjoy."
I honestly shudder at the thought! He continued—"The psychos I've encountered have so many different sides to them. So each scene I've done with Euron, I pick a new thing I wanna show: ‘This scene I want to be charming.' 'This scene I wanna be a molester.' 'This scene I wanna kill someone."
Oh goody! Sounds like a real swell guy. Hopefully he won't give me (the entire fandom) nightmares, but knowing GoT, he definitely will.
