Who's ready for some college football? After waiting all spring and summer, the wait is finally over, as the college kids return to the gridiron this weekend with a slate of highly-anticipated matchups.
And since most of us will be doing nothing but drinking beer, grilling out and losing our voices from yelling at the TV, FHM figured we should prep you for some of the different looks that teams will be wearing this year, giving grades to some of the best and worst we've seen.

Notre Dame has one of the most iconic uniforms in all of sports, let alone college football, so this one is a little bit of a surprise. Slated to be worn during the Shamrock Series matchup against Army on Nov. 12, the Irish received poor feedback when these things were unveiled because they just have too much going on.
9. Pittsburgh Panthers

Going with a few different styles of the design, the Pitt Panthers' new look is bold and resembles an NFL team more than a college one. When you imagine the classic football uniform, block numbers on the front and atop the pads probably comes to mind, which match perfectly with the bold stripes on the sleeves. The color scheme helps make these things pop.
8. Kentucky Wildcats

As a proud graduate of the University of Kentucky, I had to add my alma mater to this list—and, surprisingly, I actually really like the updates to their football uniforms. As anyone who has been to Lexington knows, outside of Big Blue Nation, it's all about horse racing, which is why the racing checkers on the sleeves of the Wildcats' jerseys are a nice touch, as well as the new logo on the pants.
7. Virginia Tech Hokies

The Virginia Tech Hokies showed-off some new threads that are supposed to honor the past while looking towards the future, but the style is just sort of, blah. The home maroon's look about the same, but the reason for an underwhelming reaction is the road whites, which have some funky font that makes these look like a jerseys that would be work in Star Wars.
6. Oregon Ducks
Thoughts? pic.twitter.com/4H20kzRYDx— Dan Boyer (@WildKingdumb) July 23, 2016
When it comes to funky, wild and lots of college football uniforms, no one has it quite like the Oregon Ducks, who routinely don an abundance of different styles each season. With Nike's HQs in its backyard, the Ducks have teased at wearing this look this upcoming season, which, if true, would be one of the program's best yet. Even without this, though, Oregon always impresses in the style department.
5. Purdue Boilermakers

The Purdue Boilermakers haven't been too relevant on the football field over the past few seasons, but they get some respect here for a solid new uniforms design. Let's fact it, it's hard to mess up gold and black together, and the addition of a grey alternate is a nice surprise—although, truth be told, it's probably the ugliest of the new jerseys.
4. Michigan Wolverines

Sometimes, the most subtle changes make all the difference, which is why the Michigan Wolverines earned praise for their latest update to another classic college football uniform. Moving sponsorship from adidas to Jordan Brand, the Maize and Blue narrowed their numbers and added a two-toned stripe on the away whites. Classic and sharp.
3. Ohio State Buckeyes

Another program that has rich history and a storied uniform, the Ohio State Buckeyes thought that paying homage to their past would be a wise move in 2016. And while the idea should be applauded, the execution fell flat. Going with these alternate uniforms that recognize the school's unis from 1917, the Bucks should have just left these things gather dust in the closet and saved us the eye sore.

Forget that whole style rule that claims no white after Labor Day, because the Nebraska Cornhuskers unveiled some some new threads that takes advantage of the all-white look to perfection. The white makes the red even bolder, and the silver stripes on the sleeves is A+ stuff. Also, the bigger numbers on the back of the helmets is a nice touch.

The definition of swag, when the Oklahoma State Cowboys unveiled their new look earlier this year, they absolutely nailed it! Using various color schemes like all-black, white tops and helmet and their traditional black-orange look, the uniforms also have amazing detail around the collar that make these the Valedictorian of this year's college football uniform class.
