I'm pretty sure a week or two hasn't gone by where the topic of the iPhone 8 hasn't danced across my news feed with promises of bigger and better things to come. At this stage of the game, I'm about ready to call bullshit and switch over to Android. It's not because I don't love me a good iPhone, it's just that, HELLO, when is this thing going to happen already?! It's leak, after leak, after leak—just starting selling the darn thing!

By the time I get my hands on one, I'll have felt like we've already known each other for years (but not in the cutesy-romantic way). Now that I'm not complaining like the technology-mainlining millennial I am, I'll get to the news. So, basically, everyone has an iPhone cover right? Right! If you don't, you're basically a serial killer or adrenaline junkie, or both. Turns out, covers are a pretty sure fire way to determine what the phone is eventually going to look like and that's exactly what happened.

According to Forbes—"New data from MacRumors (verified by BGR has revealed Apple is set to also give the iPhone 8 a larger screen resolution than any previous iPhone. In fact extrapolating the data both sites have collected suggests the iPhone 8 will have a native resolution of 2800 x 1342 pixels. This is dramatically up from the iPhone 7 Plus native resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels."
That confirmation was only made possible by a seemingly innocent accessory description spilled by manufacturer, MobileFun,—"On sale now for £24.99, the ‘Olixar iPhone 8 Full Cover Tempered Glass Screen Protector’ shows an iPhone 8 with a massive 5.8-inch, elongated display with top bezel ‘cut-out’ for the front facing camera and sensors."
