Is This Jenga-Shaped Breakfast The Perfect Antidote To Your Hungover Saturday Morning?

Until now, we thought the bar for Jenga-related feats had been set too highly by this cat for anyone to dream of mounting a serious competition...

But we were wrong. Thanks to the efforts of YouTube chef Josh Elkin, you can now create your very own edible tribute to the popular 1980’s game; complete with a fried egg that we imagine would present a serious problem if you actually tried to play Jenga with your breakfast.

Why you’d spend ages delicately building something you intend to mercilessly devour as soon as you’re done with it, we aren’t totally sure, but it’s the stuff of dreams for Instagram junkies.

And imagine the smug pride of taking a bite from a chip you’ve just successfully rescued from the teetering tower why your mate sends it crashing pathetically to the floor.

For anyone feeling playful at the breakfast table, Josh’s recipe is below...

01  Take 6 large potatoes, such as Maris Piper or King Edward
02  Heat oven to 200°C/fan 180°C
03  Cut the unpeeled potatoes into thick chips, keeping them the same size and thickness
04  Put into a large pot of salted cold water and bring to the boil
05  Drain, tip onto kitchen paper and dry thoroughly
06  Put in a bowl and coat in 2-3 tbsp sunflower oil
07  Pop on baking tray and bake for 20-30 mins, shaking every now and then till golden
