When I was a kid, there was very little I wouldn't do in order to get my way. I'd cry, throw a fit, literally throw things and, of course, yell back at my parents to try and convince them to change their mind. Talk about a brat, right?
Hell, even at 32 years old, I still try some of these immature things—not the pouting, though. That shit stopped.
But, there's no denying it—if you're a kid, your'e going to try and pull a quick one on your parents. That's just a way of life.
Well, one seven-year-old kid named Nathan did just that—leaving a note that he insisted was from his teachers—hoping that it was convincing enough to have his parents agree to let him play video games. Seriously, it's F'in ingenious!
To transcribe, because it's kind of hard to read, here's what the note read:
“Dear parents, Nathan has been doing good in his classes, except for VIDEO GAME CLASS!
“If he does not stay up all night playing video games, he will get kicked out of school!!! Start letting him stay up all night and start tonight.
“He can play anything, computer, Wii, iPod, iPad, phone and any other electronic. From, The school.”
Telling his parents that he was falling behind in his "video game class," the sly little dude even went as far as saying that he'd be “kicked out of school" if his mom didn't allow him to stay up all night long to practice.
Of course, his parents weren't buying it, per the New York Post:
“He left it laying around for us to find, then when I asked him about it, he couldn’t hold back a cheeky smirk.”
Explaining why she thought her son created the cheeky note, the mother wrote: “He’s 7 and I’m a mean mommy who sticks with an 8pm bedtime during the school year.”
Unfortunately, it doesn't appear as if the ploy worked, but, hey, at least it seems like Nathan will make for one hell of a debater when he gets older—because this is the stuff of legends, right here!
