Even if you were too young to have seen Home Alone back in the 90s, it's safe to say that it reigns supreme as the most famous Christmas flick of all time — yes, even more so than A Christmas Story, Bad Santa and especially, freakin' Die Hard. Because of the movie's iconic status, Macaulay Culkin has gained somewhat of a cult following. Sure, he went on to do other things in his acting career, but for most people he will forever be known as the mischievous Kevin McCallister.
Who better than to address the countless Home Alone conspiracy theories circulating the Internet? Take the one about Elvis, for example. People are convinced (beyond comprehension) that he didn't, in fact, die in 1977, but instead, remains alive. So much so, that he decided to get cast as an extra in the original Home Alone. To see what Culkin has to say about that wacky conspiracy theory and all the others surrounding Home Alone, check out the video below.
Can we just say that it's so awesome to see Macaulay Culkin back on his grind? He lost his way there for a little awhile (as former child stars tend to do) but, it's clear he's got his sh-t together and he's ready to continue pursuing his art. You go, Culkin!
Beyond that, we were laughing pretty hard at the whole, "Why didn't Kevin just call the cops?" bit. Frankly speaking, we think it's important to suspend at least some belief when watching movies intended for children. Had he called the cops, the movie would have been over in 20 minutes. Not exactly a contender for classic status, right?
