Gone are the days of Italian, French, and Spanish being the romance languages. Nowadays it's all about these new emojis making it possible to flirt with the opposite sex...without having to really say anything at all.
Stumped for a solid pickup line? Go ahead and throw a "heart-eyes cat" her way and you're practically a made man! Too timid to ask her out for a drink? Hell, that's what the cocktail emoji is for! Trying to get a little friction going on between the sheets? That's got eggplant emoji written all over it.
Fortunately for all of the conversationally-impaired folks out there, Apple continues to expand on their emoji empire with every new flagship phone and iOS update. This time around Apple definitely didn't disappoint, offering an entire new lineup of emojis ranging from food and lifestyle to some seriously progressive categories like, "Genderless."
In addition to the new emojis featured above, Apple announced on World Emoji Day that the new lineup will also include Woman with Headscarf, Bearded Person, Breastfeeding, Zombie, Person in Lotus Position and new food items such as Sandwich and Coconut. Additionally, the update will have the Love-You Gesture, designed after the “I love you” hand sign in American Sign Language.
The new emoji will debut in next week's developer and public beta previews of iOS 11.1, and will be available in upcoming software updates for iOS, macOS and watchOS.
