As we told you last month, Hollywood is currently on this "reboot" trend, where movies that were made decades ago are, for some reason or another, being remade with an updated feel. One of those flicks is Tomb Raider, where Swedish actress Alicia Vikander is set to star as Lara Croft, replacing Angelina Jolie—who played that badass character in both the original Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001) and the sequel, Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life (2003).
And, for the first time, pics have surfaced online of Vikander in her full Croft attire, performing her own stunts as filming takes place—and the Internet's freaking out about them.
Alicia Vikander, who won an Academy Award for The Danish Girl, is sure to put her own spin on the Lara Croft character, which will be an interesting development to look for once the movie is released in 2018.
So, while we've all got to wait to actually see the film—it's scheduled to debut March 16th, 2018—at least we can tease ourselves with behind-the-scenes pics like this of Alicia Vikander.
