PlayStation Plus Just Dropped The Most Epic August Lineup For Free Games EV-ER

For all you playstation plus members out there, get ready to be very pleased. The August lineup for free-gaming is the best we've seen this Summer. It's not exactly varied (especially for PS4), but kickass nonetheless. I would say the star of the list is Assassin's Creed 4: Freedom Cry. For those of you unaware—"This is the standalone spinoff of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag where you play as Adéwalé, a slave-turned-Assassin."

According to a compelling review from IGN

"Freedom Cry wisely integrates its story themes with the actual gameplay. Most of the sidequests and diversions you'll stumble across involve saving the life of another human being. No matter if it's a runaway being hunted down, a pair of disobedient slaves being whipped, or the auctioning off of a family, I always felt an intense moral pang to stop what I was doing and step in to right these horrors. It might be a bit unsubtle on Ubisoft's part, but I felt compelled to continue liberating slaves and adding members to my growing resistance."

As per Gamespot the lineup for August free games is as followed (and again, pretty damn epic). Remember, as with every month PlayStation Plus members will be able to download for free starting next week (August 1st)—there's a total of six games divided evenly across PS4, PS3, and Vita:
