To be perfectly blunt, for every sappy relationship story we've ever heard there's 100 more relationship horror stories bubbling beneath the surface! The only thing that sucks more than being single is dating a total d-ck. Can we get an amen?! Here's the thing though, you don't always know you're dating a d*ck until they do something d-ck-ish. By then, it's already too late — you've been d-cked over and there's nothing anyone can do about it.
That's why when we came across this question posed by Reddit user, Live and Grow, we thought it best to share some of the responses with y'all. We wanted to offer a sense of community. It's important to realize that you're not the only person on the planet who has fallen for an assh-ole. In the event you're the assh-le, feel free to read this article for some more ideas — you piece of flaming garbage.
"What's the biggest d*ck move you've ever pulled in a relationship?"
Get ready, guys. This isn't going to be pretty. Then again, is anything about love pretty? Hell to the no! Love is basically warfare minus the guns (ideally).
Two Weeks Notice D*ck
"I gave my first girlfriend two weeks notice that I was dumping her. It was a d*ck move, but I had no idea what I was doing."
"My girl hated when I gave her directions, so one time i just went silent. Took her 30 mins to realize we had passed our apartment."
Valentine's Day D*ck
"Broke up with a girl in high school...on February 14. Didn't realize till hours later that I was getting the stink-eye from every female student in the building."
Football Fan D*ck
"Rekindling an old romance for three days so I would have an excuse to cross the Atlantic and a place to stay in Paris for a football match."
Red Light D*ck
"Ex-boyfriend wouldn't plan anything and expected me to be in charge of keeping track of our social calendar, deadlines, etc. But then he'd complain that I was nagging him if I reminded him when he had something coming up. Fed up with it all, I let him miss a court date he got for running a red light. He didn't figure it out until a month later when they sent him an outrageous fine."
"For the first three years after the divorce, I only bought noisy toys for my kids to take back to their mum’s."
"Dated this girl for about nine months when this conversation happened. Her: 'I tell you I love you all the time. Why have you never said it to me?' Me: 'Because I don't.'"
"Guy dated girl for twelve years. Lived with her for six. Proposed and planned wedding for a year. Dumped her five days before the wedding. His reason: 'I had to marry you or our friends and family would think I was an asshole for being with you for so long without marrying you'."
