Well, well, well — it would appear that it's tis' the season to be freakin' scary because every time I sheepishly turnaround there's another terrifying movie hitting theaters/soon to be streaming. What ever happened to making movies about, I don't know, chocolate factories!? Sure, you could argue that just because I'm subjected to the previews by way of trailers/commercials doesn't mean I haaavvvee to see the movie, but hey! I like being in the know as much as the next gal. That being said, this new Stephen King joint is going to ruin my life. The man himself even referred to it as horrifying. See for yourself!
Saw a rough cut of Mike Flanagan's GERALD'S GAME yesterday. Horrifying, hypnotic, terrific. It's gonna freak you out.— Stephen King (@StephenKing) February 11, 2017
As per the IMDb description —
"When a harmless game between a married couple in a remote retreat suddenly becomes a harrowing fight for survival, wife Jessie must confront long-buried demons within her own mind - and possibly lurking in the shadows of her seemingly empty house."
Hm, so the feeling I'm getting is to NEVER-EVER be handcuffed to a bed during sex — especially if my partner is over the age of 45. Additionally, I actually do think I could tolerate seeing this movie. It seems to be more of a psychological thriller versus your standard sht your pants scary. *Gerald's Game comes to Netflix on September 29. Only on Netflix.
