For those of you who are unaware, 27-year-old pop sensation, Taylor Swift, is currently involved in a legal battle regarding an incident that took place in 2013. We're not a hard-hitting news source around these parts, so I'm going to go ahead and break out the big guns to summarize the logistics for ya'll. According to NBC News —
"A former radio disc jockey accused of groping Taylor Swift before a concert testified Tuesday that he may have touched the pop superstar's ribs with a closed hand as he tried to jump into a photo with her but insisted he did not touch her backside as she claims. David Mueller told jurors at the civil trial on dueling lawsuits filed by Mueller and Swift that he and the singer-songwriter were trying to reach around one another and "our hands touched and our arms touched" during a photo opportunity he estimated lasted no more than 40 seconds."
We are in no way trying to downplay the seriousness of this case. It's not okay, read: LEGAL, in any capacity to grope a female — whatsoever! Point, blank, period. We do hope Taylor receives the justice she deserves and this whole ordeal can be settled respectfully. That being said, there's one particular aspect outside of the legal realm of this case that we simply cannot ignore — the courtroom sketches.
I decided to do some investigating, you know, for journalistic purposes. Basically, there are these free apps you can download for celebrity face matching purposes — that is to say, if you want to see "what celebrity you look like." Basically, they're very popular among the tween-crowd. I'm obviously not a tween, but I do remain down with the youth-culture as best I can and thusly decided to download a couple of these apps to see who'd they pair Taylor's courtroom sketch with. The results were GOLDEN:
Kyary Pamyu Pamyu?
Julie Stiles ????
Brigitte Bardot ?????
I don't know about you guys, but personally speaking, I think whoever the sketch artist is might want to consider quitting their day job. It's not that the drawings themselves are bad — I for one can't even draw a stick figure, it's just c'mon, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu? If that's who the celebrity match is, I think she missed the mark a wee-bit.
