Not long ago, we gave you some sexting secrets from our good friend Cj Franco, a model who knows a thing or two about the practice. Unfortunately, what Cj didn't tell us about texting women was something simple, yet guys and gals continue to forget about it. What is it? Desperation.
That's right, when it feels as if (or is as if) someone is ghosting you, have some pride and move on with your life. There are plenty of fish in the sea, gents, and chasing someone who clearly isn't into you — even if there was former communication and flirting — just comes across as sad. Doesn't sound like you? You're lying, 'cause, after talking with buddies about this exact thing, it's clear that men need to take their manhood back and remember that not every woman is interested.
But, since we continue to make the mistake, I'm here to go through a few simple steps to eliminate this embarrassing (and pathetic) practice. When texting women, there's a right and a wrong way, and, if you fail to play the game and know what you're doing, you're doomed.
Keep on reading to see exactly what you can do to help your dating game succeed — while maintaining a sense of pride in the process. After all, texting women shouldn't be the thing that ruins your chances with them, so put yourself in position for it not to.
Nothing screams desperation more than copy/pasting the exact same message while texting women. It's obvious as hell, screaming for nothing more than attention, while hoping that the lady is one of those who needs the same thing. For those women who can see right through the, "So, how have you been?" message, be prepared for no reply, as your lack of creativity will only push her away.
Know When To Stop
OK, so now that it's been a few texts and you haven't gotten a reply back, it's not the time to push the limit and keep trying. Be honest with yourself and ask yourself a very simple question: Who on earth ever goes even a few hours without their phone by them? Chances are high that she's seen all of your texts by now, and is choosing to ignore you. Take a hint and avoid that creepy guy label by deleting any of the messages to that point.
Keep Your Cool
Even if things got off to a hot and heavy start — which may have even included a few dirty pics — it doesn't mean you get to be a total jackass and lay into the woman you've been texting. Remember that last part of the previous point about "deleting any of the messages to that point?" Yeah, save yourself any temptation of sending her more messages by doing that once you realize this gal's uninterested. It's not the time to get drunk, feel lonely and start firing off a bunch of inappropriate texts. After all, it's not her fault she just wasn't feeling you.
Have Some Pride
It's way too common to hear my buddies say they're texting women whom they used to have a fling with. Whether that means an ex-girlfriend, friend with benefits or just a gal who they messaged a few times from dating apps, when does a sense of pride come into play? I'm a big believer of the "f-ck yes or f-ck no" theory. In other words, if she's texting you, being flirty and showing interest, and you, generally, feel the same, go for it. But, if she went silent on you after a few texts, it's time to cut bait and save yourself from being the guy she makes fun of to her friends.
