New year, new entertainment possibilities! Isn't that the best part of life, anyway? Curling up under the blankets and binge-watching TV shows while completely isolating the outside world? Yep, sounds like a good time to us. That being said, it's hard to know which shows are worth watching and which ones, well, aren't. When we came across the Netflix trailer for The End of the F--king World, it seemed like the former, so, we just had to go ahead and share it with y'all. Take a look! As we said in the headline, it's not your usual genre — think Dexter meets 500 Days of Summer. Yes, we realize how insanely odd that sounds.

As per the Netflix description: "This isn’t your usual boy meets girl tale. Come join teenage outsiders James and Alyssa on a road trip like no other. Based upon the graphic novel by Charles Forsman." The cast includes James (Alex Lawther – Black Mirror, The Imitation Game), Alyssa (Jessica Barden –The Lobster, Ellen, Penny Dreadful), Wunmi Mosaku (Damilola Our Loved Boy) and Gemma Whelan (Game of Thrones, The Moorside).

We don't know about you guys, but this TV series actually looks pretty freakin' great! It's refreshing to see a show step outside the conventional boundaries of any given genre to create something viewers haven't seen — or at the very least, haven't seen in a long time. Personally, we can't think of too many recent love stories that included the underlying plot of murder. How about you? The End of the F--king World will be available to stream on January 5, 2018. So, grab your girlfriend (or bottle of booze, if you're single) and happy watching!
