There's a lot going on in the cinema world. All of it seemingly happening right now. And there's a lot to be excited about...
We heard rumours in the winds that this was happening, but we refused to get our hopes up. We've had our mash-up film hopes dashed before, damn it. Now it's properly happening, and it'll be pre-faced with Kong: Skull Island in 2017 and Godzilla 2 in 2018. Then the reckoning that is Godzilla vs. King Kong will hit screens in 2020. Five years that'll be well worth the wait.

Benicio del Toro is going to be a villain in Star Wars: Episode VIII. Let that sink in. Previously known as The Collector in Guardians Of The Galaxy, he'll be in the next trilogy's mid-instalment, expected to release in May 2017.

Yep. It probably should have died after number three, but it's coming back again, this time as a prequel. Rumoured to be named Die Hard: Year One, it'll jump between 1979 and the present day, which allows Bruce Willis to reprise at least some of his role as John McClane, heroic NYPD cop-at-large.

Coming to Netflix this year is Bill Murray (and a whole load of other big names) putting on a musically-driven holiday special. From the sounds of it, a blizzard shuts down production of said musical, leading Bill to perform with anyone already in the hotel or anyone who drops by.
Another Netflix production, Beasts Of No Nations has released it's final, emotion-heavy trailer. Starring Idris Elba as the commandant of an army in an unnamed war-torn African country, it tells the harrowing story of child soldiers, directed by Cary Fukunaga (also known as the guy who did the first season of True Detective). Oh, and it's out tomorrow. So, thats your after-work plans sorted.
