Tony Hawk has helped us all take a very stylish step into the future...
Along with tech firm Arx Pax, the legendary skateboarder refined the design of the original Hendo 'hoverboard' into a much less clunky, much more suave travelling machine. It's quieter (meaning less of the engine sounds), with better battery life and USB capabilities. It's also, crucially, easier to ride. Because if Tony Hawk's struggling to ride your original board, then you know it needs some work.
This particular hoverboard works using Magnetic Field Architecture technology, which you can read more about here.
When will the second generation board be fully revealed? When else but 21 October, 2015? Perhaps better known as the day Marty McFly travels to in the future in the second instalment of the Back To The Future trilogy.
Hoverboards here, hoverboards everywhere. Back To The Future day can't come quick enough.
